A June in Brittany – Travelling the Atlantic coast of France by motorhome

With the camper we want to travel in 21 days from Dunkirk to Belle-Île. Almost the whole of June is available for the journey through Normandy and Brittany. But is France's north really suitable for camper vans? We found out with the camera in hand and report here about our mixed feelings.

At "Clutch": chicken fillet strips in a lime parmesan casing and baked chicken legs in soya garlic sauce

City trip without the tourists, always looking for taste: London.

London has a huge amount of culture and history to offer. In addition there are wax figures, Ferris wheels and palaces. Let's forget all this and concentrate on the really important things like restaurants, bars and streetfood markets. In between we visit some sights that are mostly not part of any bus or guided tours - a real quality feature. For five days we explore the known and the new, discover the hidden, eat and drink our way through the capital and take pictures.

Travelling the Croatian Adriatic coast by motorhome

Colourful bays, cosy old towns, Mediterranean lifestyle: With this travel report we delete Croatia from our bucket list. The motorhome filled with water and fuelled, clothes, camera, mobile phones and a pile of chargers packed: off we go with the camper to the Croatian Adriatic coast. For 16 days we will be on our way along the coast from Rovinj to Dubrovnik. Although we are on our way with the motorhome and therefore mainly approach suitable camping sites, this tour is also suitable for car travellers with accommodation in guest rooms, hotels and camping cabins. In total we cover about 4500 km.

Through the Orient on the AIDA Stella – my first cruise

Admittedly, I have prejudices against cruises. These are the same prejudices I have against package holidays in fenced-in hotel resorts: Predetermined program, little flexibility, hardly any contact with locals, too many people. I hate people. Not because of the sheer number of people, but because of the number of idiots. Bumping into people, squeezing through, being loud. Just not my thing. So now, of all things, we're going on a cruise ship and, to make matters worse, to a region where mistakes in public life can quickly end up in jail. We visit the Orient - friends and colleagues have persuaded me.

Did you know that the European hornet likes to gnaw on lilac bushes in very warm summers, when it is nearing the end of its life in September? The hornets nibble on the branches, lilac juice comes out and this then serves as an energy drink for the large insects. I hate wasps, and was initially very worried about walking along the lilac bush at a distance of only 30cm on my morning walk to the garage. But these thick hummers are so peaceful and clumsy that they simply do nothing to you, even if they fly accidentally against your head. Great side effect: Since the hornets have moved in with us, there are hardly any wasps in our garden. #hornet #hornisse #insectphotography #lilac #europeanhornet #macro #macrophotography #nikonz6ii #sigma105macro
We arrived on the north eastern coast of Greece. Time to set up our awning for a quick swim in the salines and then washing the salt away in the ocean. #greece #pydna #quickpitch #offroad #offroadtravel #defender110 #pieria #hellas

Potting some new plants. Now let there be summer.
