This green pesto is quickly made and has a long shelf life when filled in jars. It goes perfectly with pasta, bread or grilled food.

Ingredient list for 8 portions

1 bunch of basil
100 g rocket salad
170 Parmesan cheese
2 cloves of garlic
110 g pine nuts
220 g olive oil
1 tsp salt


The pesto consists to a large extent of the olive oil. The oil is therefore an important part of this recipe; with it the taste of this pesto stands and falls. If we do not use self-imported olive oil from Greece or Croatia, we use the virgin olive oil from Terra Creta (Amazon Affiliate Link). The oil tastes great even on bread alone. It is our clear price/performance winner and therefore worth a recommendation.



  1. Fill basil, rocket, garlic and pine nuts into the mixing bowl. Puree for 2 seconds on level 7.
  2. Push down the contents of the mixing bowl with a spatula.
  3. Add olive oil and salt. Stir for 25 seconds on level 4.
